Resources for Learning to Make Japanese Dishes

Where can you find Japanese food recipes once OYSHEE is closed?

Here are some suggestions from the OYSHEE staff:

1. YouTube Channels

These talented tachers have been kindly providing their video recipes to OYSHEE. Check out their YouTube channels to find recipes that were once on OYSHEE, and much more!

2. Cooking Classes in Tokyo
If you currently live in Japan or have an opportunity to visit, please consider participating in one of those classes!

3. Japanese Website "楽天レシピ"
For those who can read Japanese, please visit OYSHEE's Japanese counterpart, Rakuten Recipe (楽天レシピ). More than 80% of the recipes on OYSHEE have been translated from the Japanese recipes on this website, created by everyday Japanese people!

Once again, we sincerely thank you for using OYSHEE and supporting OYSHEE in various ways over the past two years. We hope that the list above can be of some help.

  1. Hi Rebecca, thank you for your message. The reason we're closing down OYSHEE is a decision at the management level, and it pains me greatly to tell you that the detailed reason cannot be disclosed.

We sincerely thank you for all of the support you've given us in the past months, and hope that you will continue cooking Japanese food with the resources listed above. All the best and see you again some day in the future!

  2. We have some good news: 64 of OYSHEE recipes can continue to be viewed on Rakuten Recipe, our Japanese website. Please make use of them :)
